Attorney Bill Roark has presented at several speaking engagements recently on the topic of medical marijuana law:

  • October 4, 2018 – Mr. Roark presented to nearly 500 audience members, lawyers and judges at the 2018 PBA Workers’ Compensation Section Conference in Hershey, PA. The topic focused on the intersection of Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana Act and the Workers’ Compensation Act.
  • October 18, 2018 – Mr. Roark was the guest speaker at a Medical Marijuana Educational and Outreach Event sponsored by CURE dispensaries and held at Philadelphia’s University of the Sciences. The evening was designed to give stake holders in the medical marijuana industry an opportunity to work together to enhance the medical viability of the program by increasing testing and labeling requirements.
  • November 5, 2018 – Mr. Roark was the guest lecturer at Temple University School of Law. He addressed the law school’s “Drug Law: Policy & Practice” class, offering students insight on the benefits and pitfalls of practicing in an emerging legal market, while focusing on the specific issues facing lawyers who represent individuals and business in the medical marijuana industry.
  • November 9, 2018 – Mr. Roark presented a CLE through the Montgomery Bar Association titled “PA Medical Marijuana – Ethics and the Conflict with Federal Law.” The class analyzed how Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana program is surviving (and thriving) under conflicting Federal law, paying specific attention to the latest developments out of Washington, D.C.
